A home away from home!
After a tiring week of all the work and stress, a little time with friends and family is what each one of us craves. There’s something so relaxing, comforting, and soothing about it that it banishes all our worries right away. And if that company is complemented with great food and coffee, what else can one possibly ask for!
Much to our joy, there’s a perfect little place right here in Varanasi where you can unwind at ease, all the while feeling at home – Lucy’s Cafe!
Beginning its journey on November 23, 2016, Lucy’s Cafe is the first of its kind in Varanasi, where you can spend quality time with your loved ones over scrumptious food, delicious coffee, and great music! Having a totally homely atmosphere, the interior decor is an amazing fusion of Asian and European cultures. The hosts are so amiable and lovely that they’ll make you smile in no time with their great food and coffee that is sourced all the way from South India, so that you get a taste of the best-roasted coffee beans of the country!
That’s not all. Lucy’s Cafe is also a haven for book lovers as it boasts of an impressive collection of books, donated by generous readers. So, you can enjoy a cup of coffee with a book in your hand! If that sounds too boring to you, worry not, because the Cafe offers a variety of board games such as Chess, Ludo, Monopoly, and UNO to keep you engaged. It’s all fun and ‘games,’ literally!
This year, we at TEDxAssiRd are thrilled to have Lucy’s Cafe on board with us as our partner. Our vision is the same – while we are promoting the theme of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,’ Lucy’s Cafe is promoting friendship and bonding ever since its inception. It is a place where new bonds are created and old bonds are reinforced. It is a place full of the sweet cacophony of smiles and laughter of the people who visit it.
And everyone who has visited it will second us when we say that Lucy’s Cafe never fails to keep its inmates happy!
